Here is What to Expect When You First Come to See Us

To ensure your visit with us is a pleasant one, here are the procedures you can expect in your first visit, which will last 45-60 minutes.

Paperwork: Completing our initial questionnaire helps us to get to know you. The doctor will use this information to help formulate your care program. You will also be given a copy of our financial policies and advised of the cost of our office procedures.

Consultation: You'll meet our doctor, who will review your health history and determine if yours is a chiropractic case.
 

Examination: Standard physical, orthopaedic, neurological, and chiropractic tests will be performed to determine the causes of your problem. We ask that you bring a comfortable pair of shorts and a t-shirt to your first visit. Gowns can also be provided.
 

X-Ray: If required, x-rays will be ordered of the specific areas of your spine in question. 
 

Correlation: After correlating your exam findings, the doctors will review their findings and give specific recommendations.

Recommendations:You may or may not be treated on your first visit depending upon your examination results. However, some of the examination procedures are also therapuetic.

Adjunctive Procedures: The doctors may suggest the application of heat, ice or the use of some other procedure to help reduce inflammation and make you more comfortable. Advice may be given on posture, exercise and nutrition to speed your recovery.
 

Future Visits:  Plan to spend about fifteen minutes on your next visit to receive a more in-depth report of findings and recommendations for care. Then, depending on your condition and recommendations, typical visits will last 10-30 minutes.
